Pureple · Outfit Stylist
Privacy for your ChatGPT connection
Updated October 4, 2026This page explains the Pureple Outfit Stylist connection in ChatGPT. It supplements Pureple’s privacy policy and terms. The published Pureple terms identify Iceclip LLC. Features and data handling described below concern this connection.
Connecting your account
You sign in to the same Pureple account you use in the app, through Google or your existing email and password. Firebase verifies your sign-in. The connection uses your account identifier and authorization records to permit read-only access. The plugin server receives a Firebase identity token to verify consent; it does not receive your Google password or your email sign-in password.
Information shared with ChatGPT
When you ask to use your Pureple wardrobe, the connection returns clothing identifiers, names, categories, colors, occasions, seasons, patterns and descriptions from your synced wardrobe. It also returns whether a clothing photo is available. When an outfit uses your clothes, it checks that the items belong to your connected account and provides temporary links to the matching clothing photos. The connection can return your stable Pureple profile identifier to ChatGPT.
ChatGPT supplies the styling ideas. Requests to display outfits include clothing selections, the occasion and explanations composed in the conversation. General suggestions use suggested clothing names; clothes shared in chat can also be used. The plugin does not purchase clothing, change your wardrobe, save outfits to your account, or offer virtual try-on.
Service providers
Google Cloud and Firebase host the connection, authentication records, usage counters and existing Pureple wardrobe storage. OpenAI receives tool inputs and results, including clothing data and temporary photo links, through ChatGPT. The plugin server does not make a separate OpenAI API request. ChatGPT’s own data controls and OpenAI privacy policy govern data handled by ChatGPT. Statements in Pureple’s main policy about OpenAI API training do not describe your ChatGPT account settings.
Retention and access
Your original wardrobe remains in Pureple’s existing storage under its main privacy policy. This connection does not create another stored wardrobe or a stored chat history. Its authorization database holds pending connection requests, authorization codes, access and refresh records, registered client details, connection revocation records, and daily usage counts. Daily counts use a hashed account identifier. Operational hosting logs may contain request metadata such as request paths, IP addresses, timing and response status.
Pending requests expire after ten minutes, authorization codes after two minutes, access tokens after one hour, and refresh tokens after seven days. Refresh tokens rotate when used. Photo links expire after one hour. Expiry blocks use immediately; expired records scheduled for database cleanup can remain until cleanup runs. Client registration and revocation records have no automatic expiry. Usage records are scheduled for cleanup two days after their counted day ends.
Your choices
Disconnect Pureple in ChatGPT’s plugin settings to revoke the connection. Disconnecting does not delete your Pureple wardrobe or existing ChatGPT conversations. Previously issued photo links can remain usable until their expiry. Use ChatGPT’s controls to manage conversations and ChatGPT data. To request removal of Pureple account or connection records, contact support@pureple.com. Do not send passwords or tokens in a support message.
You can ask ChatGPT for general fashion advice without using the plugin. All plugin tools, including the outfit cards, require a linked account. If your cloud wardrobe is empty, the plugin can show general ideas and links to catalogue your clothes in Pureple.
